Driving & parking
The old town streets in Mangalem and Goricë are steep, narrow, and cobbled — a small compact car handles them far more easily than an SUV or a minivan. Leave your car in the lower city lot and walk up through the quarters on foot. The SH75 road toward Osumi Canyon (40 km east) is paved and passable in a standard vehicle.

Best time to visit
Spring (April–May) and autumn (September–October) are the best windows — mild temperatures, clear skies, and far fewer visitors than summer. Osumi Canyon boat tours are best April–June when water levels are high. Summer afternoons at the castle get very warm; plan visits before 11:00 or after 17:00.
